Iron Man 2 which is being directed by Jon Favreau is the sequel to the 2008 movie Iron Man. The movie is based on the Marvel Comics superhero Iron Man is planned to be released on 7th May 2010
In this sequel Robert Downey Jr. again plays the dual role of billionaire Tony Shark and superhero Iron Man who is trying to save the world from the its most powerful enemies ever. In the movie the character of Iron Man is under intense pressure from not just Earth’s devastating enemies but also from the press and the government. The press and government are pressuring the Tony Shark to share his latest invention with the country’s military forces however; Tony has a strong reason to not give in the pressure created by these public forces.
In the movie Robert Downey Jr. has new allies with whose help he is trying to overcome the pressure from the government and the press and fight his enemies. The character of Pepper Potts played by Gwyneth Paltrow and James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes played by Don Cheadle play the role of the two allies who help our superhero save our planet.
Other key characters in the movie are played by Scarlett Johansson who plays the dual role of Natasha Romanoff and the Black Widow, Sam Rockwell who plays the role of Justin Hammer and Samuel L Jackson who plays the role of Nick Fury, while Mickey Rourke plays the dual role of Ivan Vanko and Whiplash who carries electric whips and plays the role of the antagonist in the movie.
